Spring Cleaning

Now is the time of year, where it's in with the new and out with the old. Spring cleaning can be quite tedious, but if done properly, the end result is quite gratifying. We would like to take the time to help you with your spring cleaning by offering some quick and easy tips to get you started:
- When removing heel marks, use a pencil eraser to rub them off
- Rather than dusting items, be sure to wash them
- Did you know you can leave baking soda overnight on your carpet to absorb musty odors?
- Be sure when dusting, to start from the top and work your way down
- When cleaning a textured wall, we suggest using a nylon sock to avoid leaving chunks behind
- For grease spots and/or crayon try applying a cleaning fluid and fuller's earth and cornstarch. Allow to dry and brush off residue.
- For extra clean windows, try using in a spray bottle: 3 Tablespoons ammonia, 1 tablespoon vinegar & the remainder with water.
- Rubbing alcohol can remove the haze from mirrors
- Lemon furniture oil will remove water spots on metal frames
- Baking soda or club soda will clean/shine stainless steel sinks easily
- For the refrigerator-a few drops of vanilla extract on a piece of cotton placed inside wil eliminate odors
- Wipe down the fridge to eliminate mildew
- When removing carpet stains, use a white cloth
- When trying to remove a carpet grease stain, sprinkle baking soda, cornstarch or talcum powder. Allow to sit for 8 hours, then vacuum.
- don't forget to request a new air filter at lease once a month to ensure proper air circulation in the home and prevent unwanted airborne in your apartment home. Please feel free to call the office and we will have our handy maintenance team install the filter for you.

Easy Recipes For Romance On Valentines Day!
Warm up to a decadent treat and a sweet sip thats sure to make your Valentine's Day sizzle!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
3 ounces white chocolate, chopped
1 pound strawberries with stems (about 20), washed and dried very well
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
3 ounces white chocolate, chopped
1 pound strawberries with stems (about 20), washed and dried very well
Directions
Put the semisweet and white chocolates into 2 separate heatproof medium bowls. Fill 2 medium saucepans with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat; set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth. (Alternatively, melt the chocolates in a microwave at half power, for 1 minute, stir and then heat for another minute or until melted.)
Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from the heat. Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the dark chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Set strawberries on the parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries. Dip a fork in the white chocolate and drizzle the white chocolate over the dipped strawberries.
Set the strawberries aside until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes.
